So like I would go babysit this kid and his sister and my dad and his buddy would go out to the bar all night.
No one was ever going to know this, of course.
But then I moved to his house in ninth grade and I get into my fucking homeroom and I'm in a homeroom with this kid who thought I was two years older.
And I just remember feeling so embarrassed for him like, oh, Jesus.
But it never seemed like he put together those pieces.
The gap was staggering.
He was like a kid and I was an adult.
It really felt like appropriate that I would be babysitting this kid and his little sister.
They'd be fighting and stuff like kids.
