Well, when you we talk about in the short term, it's it's a really big deal for the Giants.

Uh they they've had problems at first base.

Uh they have Eldridge in the minors, but I they have an understandable they don't want to rush in too quickly.

Uh and

There there is a spot on the team for him even with Devert Devers on the team.

Uh for the Red Sox, uh you know, the the the company line about we might win war games this year.

That's kind of hard to believe.

Uh I understand on some part it was awkward having him in the mix because you can't really use your entire roster when you're sticking him at D H because you have other players on that roster that need to be at D H and when you have Devers you you you do not have

your your your your entire lineup.

But I don't think it's so much that they would actually be better without him.

Uh I think the good thing with Devers is that his contract isn't obviously underwater.

Like you sometimes see contracts of that size.

He's he's he would probably get about what he's getting now on in free agency, uh, even possibly a little more.

Not as much as as say Guerrero simply because he's a couple years older than Guerrero, but he he's a valuable player and the Giants are happy to to pay him to do that.

They remember they wanted to sign Aaron Judge and they

they were close and it was even reported as uh that that they were close at one point.

Uh but the Giants kind of missed out on a lot of free agents, kinda like the Blue Jays did, but I won't push that particular wound.

Uh for the Red Sox, I I think they were happy with the contract, but if he was a problem for the team and another team wanted to pick him up, they don't mind having that flexibility back.

Uh so in that sense it made it easier to move him because of the deal.

Uh but I don't think the deal is necessarily a big problem.
