Well, I think that the Mariners have so few of these highs in the organization's history.
This is the only team in Major League Baseball that has never made a World Series, so obviously they've never won one.
We don't have those kinds of runs to point to.
For the longest time in our history, the 1995 Mariners, the first ones to win a World Series, that famous Game 5, Edgar Martinez doubled down the line with Ken Griffey Jr.

31 years ago now and for people like myself who are older than dirt that's fine but for anyone who's younger they've never gotten to experience that kind of thing that sort of run that unites a region or in the jay's case an entire country around this daily communal aspect of rooting for a collective uh team to do well on our behalf

I mean, Jorge Polanco played two seasons in Seattle.
and was pretty bad for more of it than he was okay to fairly good, he's going to be a Mariner legend forever, until the end of time, for a handful of at-bats in the postseason.
