And that's the kind of thing you get with that kind of run you can't get anywhere else.
Well, that's a really good question, and nobody's ever posed that to me.
But I think there's – I'm still keeping up with the team, obviously, with baseball and doing a weekly radio show, like you said, the Molly Watt Monday on 93.3 KJR.
I'm still very much paying attention.
I'm a fan of this team and will be for better and mostly for worse until the day that I die.
But I think it's given me a chance to kind of –
engage with the team and more of the way that the average fan does which means that maybe i'm not obsessing over every single box score and i'm not looking through fan graphs back pages in order to try to find something interesting to write about my perspective is much more of a binary hey they won or hey they lost or hey this guy did good or hey this guy did bad which i think if you've ever been a baseball obsessive or an obsessive about any sport
there does get to be a point where there's diminishing returns the further you get into this.
And for a lot of us who have to balance this passion and this love of this sport with our regular life, it can be healthy to take a step back and also help us to understand the viewpoints of the average fan who doesn't go this far and this deep into it.
So for me, I think it's been a healthy change of perspective this year so far.
Yeah, I was thinking when you guys were kind enough to ask me on about framing this is I do think if you're a Blue Jays fan talking about this Mariners season is probably there's a lot of similarities.
The big difference is for the Mariners.
They don't have the Rays and the Yankees in their division.
And if they did, I think that an already angsty fan base would probably be feeling a lot more on edge.
But what we've discovered so far in the 2026 season through, I think, around 90 games is it's a lot harder to win baseball games.
You guys, when your catcher doesn't hit 60 home runs.
And that's been a real defining thing.
And I think something that Blue Jays fans can probably relate to Cal Raleigh is having not just not as good of a season as last year through injury and underperformance.
This has been the worst season of his professional career so far.
