And then the EMDR kicked in, and it realizes that the brain has a lot of difficulty processing trauma.
It doesn't know what to do with it, that your brain regularly files normal memories.
It's straightforward.
And they've now shown, through the miracles of MRIs, that when a traumatic memory hits, the brain starts reacting in completely different ways.
Parts of it light up that don't light up with regular memories.
