I don't know what your experience has been with a black community on that.

Yes.

And for us, it's interesting because some of that is like we want to be presented as beautiful at these beautiful things.

Obviously, we're going to be sexualized because that's what we're grooming.

That's what we're doing.

Yet women don't have a sexual voice.

They shouldn't.

Sex belongs to the husband.

So you are in a relationship and you're supposed to be muted.

And you don't have a voice.

Or you get the women that decide, that's not going to be me.

I'm going to break the pattern.

And then they go to the other extreme.

So we have that dichotomy of a very prude, reserved, does not share her sexuality with her husband well.

And then there's the other one that I'm going to do whatever I want and then becomes promiscuous into exploring because you've created all of this for what?

There's not a purpose.

It doesn't make sense.

And then the church trying to manage that has just, in instances, done more damage than good.

I grew up in a Dominican church.

I converted at 15, so those years.
