And I remember Aaron Lennon, Jermaine Jones, these guys laughing at me because I'm going all the way to China to go pre-season when I know that the deal is probably going to be done in the next couple of days.
So why am I going?
And we kept going on there all day and all day saying, what is going on?
And basically I was sitting on the plane.
We're about to shut the doors, about to take off, get the phone call.
I can't remember what his name was, he came and said, listen, the deal's done now, so you can get off the plane.
So the doors have been shut, so they've obviously got to get my bags off the plane, get me off the plane.
And the crazy thing about that whole deal as well was that it still didn't get done until they got back.
So I still could have gone and come back, but it didn't get done for about another four or five days when they came back from pre-season.
And obviously I took my frustration to Twitter at the time, which was quite a new thing, which I know I shouldn't have done.
But at the time, when you're just sitting there, I couldn't train with Sunderland, I couldn't train at Spurs because they're not there, and I'm just sitting in limbo.
It's a tough one.
Not political, but I get Daniel Levy at the time.
He wanted me to stay.
He still believed in me, wanted me to achieve at Spurs.
Whereas I understand Harry had his transfer targets in mind.
I think he wanted to bring Peter Crouch in, which I think he did.
So he obviously wanted to create money by selling me to Sunderland.
But obviously, I think at the time, they just couldn't get on the same page about the transfer fee.
So it was a tough time.
