What did you think when Harry said that time that my missus could have scored that?
I mean, at the time, it's a frustrating one because I knew myself that it was one of them where the ball's coming over and I said to myself, before it's even hit my head, oh, I've scored now, but I said, what should I do for a celebration?
Not only I've missed it...
And at the time, it affected me because it really bothered me.
But the more I thought about it, and I think people outside the media blew it up a lot worse than it actually was.
And, I mean, after that, we kind of buried it and got on with it.
Because I had Harry at Derby, which was quite funny because he came in and I'm thinking, oh, God, I've been playing, I'm not going to play now.
And I remember I scored this volley in training.
And all I just hear in the background is, my missus couldn't have scored that, didn't he?
She couldn't have scored that.
That kind of... Brilliant.
Yeah, it kind of broke the ice.
I laughed, he laughed, the players laughed.
I said, Harry, he's a great manager and we're totally fine now.
Yeah, because I got a phone call from Steve quite early on when it was made known that I was available.
He was a first-man journey.
I was kind of on the phone for him for I think about 20 seconds because he said, I'm going to ask you one question.
Do you want to come and play for Sunderland?
And I said, yeah, 100%.
And from him obviously showing me how much he wanted for me, that's probably why that season I probably produced my best football because
