It's a He-Man movie.
It's a Supergirl movie.
It's Mandalorian and Grogu, a streaming series brought up and put on a big screen.
Four episodes of television in a trench coat sneaking into a movie theater.
But you have this idea of studios have become increasingly risk-averse.
And the reason for that is because of streaming.
That's it exactly.
You want to know why they were able to make those movies in the past, those movies that we think of only in the 90s.
The reason was because it was very hard to lose money on a movie in the 1990s, which is a funny thing to say.
Oh, well, I mean, you also, if you interviewed the guy who wrote, was a Forrest Gump, which technically never turned a profit because of Hollywood accounting.
But generally speaking, the logic was, think of it as a stool where you have the movie itself, which you release in theaters, you get the box office return on that.
Now you split that with the theaters, fine.
But downstream, as you said, you have licensing deals in television, you have VHS and home media releases, you have the DVD market, which kind of peaks in the late 90s into the early 2000s.
And basically through that, you end up earning residuals and those movies come back and eventually,
A movie that flops in theaters will turn a profit.
