You'll be getting your first residual check.
And he's like, I forgot that I had made that movie.
The problem is, to your point about streaming, streaming just cuts the legs off the stool.
If you have streaming services, those streaming services are owned by the companies that make the movies because they're designed for vertical integration.
So Warner movies are less likely to go to Netflix where they will be licensed.
They're more likely to go to HBO Max, which is an internal streaming service.
So you're not going to make money off it that way.
Disney movies go straight to Disney Plus, where...
That is the way it is because, again, you've got the legs off the stool.
In the old days, you would have movies released and they would have a long life in theaters.
They would have like a very long exclusive window that would typically run to between 90 and 180 days.
And over that course of those days, you make money.
Even if it's a small amount of money, it gradually accrues.
And obviously, as we mentioned, you go to VHS, you go to television.
So you can make money that way off of property.
So if a movie didn't succeed in opening weekend, bad, but not the end of the world.
