And it's like that's it's it's a unit.
I mean
As a as a hippie who has gone to Burning Man eight times and believes, you know, in a lot of liberal values, like the military is a beautiful experiment in socialism or in a in a in a in a communal way of thinking.
Well yeah, I mean, what the what the military is and then the job it does are very different, I think.
And I don't really you know, uh commenting on geopolitics and stuff is probably a little above my pay grade, but like the actual experience of being in the military, uh, is is relatively separate from the politics of why we send people off to fight certain things and all that.
Uh when I was in the military I didn't really think much about that.
I wasn't
I wasn't uh you know, out in the Persian Gulf wondering about like the price of oil or why we're doing this or all that kind of stuff.
It was about like how can I care about the person next to me and and you know, help them and and and execute the mission.
And that's what a lot of folks in the military think about.
Yeah, I was gonna mention him.
He really I think he really nails the
um experience of the of folks in the military.
And I and I think I don't know if he says this explicitly, but I do often reference him when I talk about, you know, there's a there's a type of like small P PTSD that that folks in the military have when they leave the military because, you know, they they go from uh a unit, let's say that was at war and maybe someone was, you know
They're people are willing to take bullets for each other and they go into LA traffic, you know, and and that is a type of small p, you know, small t trauma.
Um, and it's really again going from a collectivist world to a rabid individualist world.
And it's it's heartbreaking.
It's absolutely heartbreaking.
And I, you know, there is
You know, there are traumas that come from being at war, but then there's just this like uh heart trauma and like a sadness that comes from like
