So I think as long as Trump is president, the U.S.
will probably not formally withdraw from NATO.
But the point of NATO will be undermined to a pretty significant degree.
I will say folks in the military take this quite seriously.
Like Trump can say what he wants, but that we do have troops stationed in Eastern Europe.
There is like a real he's not really the only one, I guess, who on some level gets a vote.
But
You know, the promise that the US will stand by all of its treaty allies in their moment of danger, I think it has faded away to the point where it's basically meaningless.
He actually organized a conference.
He actually organized a conference to that effect as well, bringing together other countries, not the United States, but other countries on how they would handle the Strait of Hormuz issue.
And yeah, he actually said in those same remarks that Brexit effectively undercut the UK's national interest to some degree.
So basically, it's time to move closer to Europe and end this period of a divergence between the UK and EU.

Trump was a big champion of Brexit, but I think he's one of the big reasons why the UK and EU are moving closer together.
no because he works for trump now but i i think but uh uh but part of the uh uh you know if you take a step back what what their case for nato abandoning the us right now is the us launched a war that these countries were not consulted on and by and large wanted to avoid if at all possible if you're talking about the uk france germany etc they did not want the us to engage in this war
It's hurting their economies even more than it's hurting the U.S.
economy to a large degree.
I mean, there's shortages of jet fuel right now already starting to hit European countries.
There's talk of flights being scaled back.
