Then, of course, we went through a 35% market downturn in the UK.

And I was left with two choices.

Number one, do I jump anyway?

And the other one, of course, do I wait for the market to recover?

Problem is moving to Canada also then involved having met the love of my life, who is now my wife.

And the idea of spending an unknown amount of time waiting for a market to recover.

Didn't appeal.

Then, of course, there's a lot of expenses associated with that.

I took a massive hit when I finally sold it.

Come to Canada, takes a long time to be able to apply and work legally.

No means to bring money in.

Borrow some more.

I'll just consolidate onto a consolidated loan and use my cards, use the cards again.

So I went through all of that, never having had experience of debt, of being incredibly poor at then managing the onset of it.

And that's when I went looking for something to help.

It was my way of contributing in a way when I couldn't contribute any other way.

You go out to work, love, and I'll feel bad.

But what I'm going to do in the meantime is I will do the cooking.

I will do the cleaning.

I'll look after the kid.
