The executor is the person that basically who manages your estate.
But if there are assets or funds that are to be held for some period of time thereafter into the future, they're held on trust and the person who manages those assets is your trustee.
So it's very common for the executor also to be the trustee.
So executor does the immediate management of the estate.
Once you get to a settled estate stage, you either distribute or place assets in trust and the trustee manages the ongoing trust.
To be executor or trustee.

It's got to be in writing.
It's got to be signed.
It's got to be witnessed by two people, two adult people who are present at the same time and made with the intention of being a will.
But essentially, they're the rules.
There's no format you've got to use.
There's no heading or special words that you need to do.
I mean, you have to be age 18 and a full capacity, but otherwise in writing, signed and witnessed, and that's sufficient for a valid will.
Well, there are a lot of pitfalls and traps.
