I mean, look, the United States is going in an increasingly isolationist perspective or direction, whether we go Republican or Democrat, the next administration.
And that will lead us to kind of take our foot off the gas in the Middle East.
That'll create breathing space for Iran to then just restart all of its activities again.
And this may take decades.
They're playing the long game.
Unless something internally happens, right?
They'll have the time to slowly creep their way back to the status quo ante.
So even if we've degraded 99% of all of their capabilities and then left them with that breathing room to then rebuild...
uh then uh then we not accomplished anything operationally in the long term even though we may have accomplished a lot significantly a lot in the short term and that's what i'd like to distinguish and that's the real problem with going to going to lower without you know having the willingness to go all the way
I mean, the nuclear program, less so.
But the ballistic missile program, I've seen varying numbers that show that the majority of the launchers remain intact.
And that's troubling to me.
I've seen something like 70%, 50% and upwards, right?
I've seen different numbers that say 50%, 70%, 90% of the launchers remain intact.
Now, that's a problem.
And the issue is not just the launchers themselves.
It's not the capabilities themselves themselves.
It's the production capability.
Have we degraded the production capability to where they can't bounce back within a short order and start producing this stuff all over again?
And let's remember, some of this deal may come with some degree of sanctions relief.
