It's going to fester.
It's not like Hezbollah is going to remain frozen in place for the next five, 10 years, whatever, until this internal Lebanese conversation resolves itself.
No, they're going to be rebuilding and rearming, as we saw over the past 15 years.
Lebanon is going to try to deceive the international community that they made progress against Hezbollah, like they did on January 8th of 2026, when the LAF said they removed Hezbollah from south of the Litana River, that they took effective control of the area south of the Litana River.
We see that as false.
And then we're just going to be sitting on a power that's going to explode again whenever Hezbollah deems it, Hezbollah and Iran deem it the right time to attack Israel again.
So this won't even create permanent quiet, the type of permanent quiet that could be necessary.
Look, I have low hopes for peace between Israel and Lebanon now.
Hezbollah aside, there's too much blood between the sides.
And what you're going to record is decades of genuine quiet where the two sides stop preceding each other as a threat for peace to happen.
And I do hope that happens.

And the reason for this is because of the way the linkage is structured between Iran and its proxies, proxies like Hezbollah specifically.
The linkage is ideological, meaning if Iran were to cut off all the funding and weapons to Hezbollah tomorrow, Iran, sorry, Hezbollah would remain absolutely loyal to the Iranian regime because the linkage is ideological.
It's the idea of wilayat al-faqih.
So because of that, you can allow this proxy to develop autonomous means of self-support, autonomous means of raising funds.
And we always focus on Hezbollah's involvement in narcotics trade and money laundering and all this illicit activity leads us to ignore the fact that Hezbollah has...
Channels of funding that are otherwise legitimate, including investments in Lebanon, businesses, pharmacies, gas stations, restaurants, clothing stores.
And that's just in Lebanon.
They have crowdsourcing, crowdfunding means of they're involved in crypto now.
