And that's the fundamental change in their attitude towards placing troops in Europe that actually were no longer worth defending at a cost.

And that's a fundamental change in the way in which America views Europe under this administration.

Finally, looking at corruption in the United States, the blatant, overt corruption, Trump's slush fund, the idea of looking for 10 billion, suing himself, his own Justice Department, suing the IRS, all this sort of stuff.

I mean, if anyone tried that in one of those aforementioned liberal democracies in Europe, they'd be out on the rear very quickly.

But it seems the American people are almost immune to that kind of scandal now, or are they?

Yeah, I think a lot of aspects of that are that actually Americans don't know what's going on because they don't consume news or where they do consume news, they consume it in a way that is entirely partisan.

But there is a degree to which Americans are prepared to shrug on this, despite the absolute corruption and nest feathering that's going on by the Trump family.

And the fact that he actually can set up this slush fund that actually is outside any legal control.

It's not controlled by Congress.

It's not constitutional.

It's something that he's going to appoint five cronies, and we're not going to see who the money goes to, how much money goes to him, and all the rest of these things.

So Donald Trump has corrupted the constitutional framework.

in a way that actually means that he acts effectively outside the law by the abuse of executive power.

And the constitutional framework is very difficult to actually rein him in.

They're talking about passing a law, but actually, of course, he can veto any law that tries to stop him doing the slush fund.

And that shows you how fundamentally broken American democracy and American rule of law is when you have a president willing to actually be brazen in the use of his executive authority to make that so.

Finally, the Democrats will try to use some of the statements, including the one from Trump saying he didn't care about Americans and how they were feeling yesterday.

His main goal was to sort out Iran and protect them from nuclear holocaust some distance in the future.

The Democrats will try to use this in the midterms, say they get richer, you get poorer.
