because Beefy, of course, is a great friend of mine.
He won't be listening to this, so it's fine.

But Beefy's a great friend, an outstanding player.
They both had that same thing, which is the absolute aura in the room and on the field.
So both on the field, you could walk out there
fully fit, half fit, two thirds fit, take wickets, smack it all around the park.
In the room, of course, you know, both men had that real presence, which means that, you know, the other 10 inevitably sort of look to you as a Botham or a Stokes for inspiration.
And if a Botham or a Stokes or a Flintoff, for instance, if they're up for it,
you know that is like having an extra man in your side.
You're no longer playing with just 11.
It's 12 or 13 is the way it feels.
So Ben's done an awful lot of good stuff.
I mean, I think it's the big problem is that the winter, your summer, where we were all watching things unfold in a way that, to be honest, I didn't expect.
You know, the great dream was that the plan, McCullum-Stokes plan, would end with an Ashes triumph.
And within what, a day and a half, two days of the whole thing, that plan was pretty much in shreds.
So that to me was the biggest disappointment of the last four years.
Everything else we've seen, great to watch.
That was a complete disaster.
