Would Stokes keep the captaincy?
Would Rob Keers, the managing director, would he keep his job?
Because he was responsible for loads of things in terms of the preparation and the organisation.
As it happens, everyone kept their jobs.
So the one thing that had to happen
was England needed to start winning cricket again, winning test matches again.
And with that horrible pitch at Lourdes, they had the better of it.
With the nightclub, which I still found ridiculous.
I mean, the so-called altercation stroke incident, the breaking of the curfew.

um so the problem seems to be to me that there was a disconnect between stokes and ecb there were obviously people within ecb um taking what's known as a dim view and that's a very big understatement and that feeds through so i can understand ben sort of saying to himself look i've had a you know testing winter we've tried to get back on track we won a game and now you're on my back
There's only so much a man can take.
