Why build a small business that statistically will last 10 years and then fade out of existence?

And so little by little over the last 30 years, I became an expert at building and rescuing small businesses.
And it's what I love to do.
I'm working on my newest book right now to answer that question.

The first thing that most, I think, small businesses stumble over is they make themselves the center of the business.
It gives you total control.
It feels wonderful.
you're the smartest guy or the smartest lady in the room.
And your whole day is made up of, hey boss, just one quick question.
And you do that all week long.
Go ahead.
Literally, that is where my work starts.
And so I don't style myself as a coach.
I am a consultant, and I'm a teacher, and I love that.
But trying to get a sole proprietor who feels great about their work and loves going into that office every day to say,
yes but um there might actually a better better way because when you know uh let's say that you're super successful your business grows really fast in about year six or seven or eight um you hit
