And he reserves particular scorn.

that a truly transformative productivity gain would require something close to AGI, you know, this is a gentic AI.

At the moment, he says the models are good at kind of easily defined tasks, but they're bad when it comes to messy, content-heavy judgment.
Basically, they're bad at being proxy humans.
That's what he says.
And therefore, his argument is that all automation is not equal, and some automation merely does the same tasks as humans do, slightly cheaper and slightly faster.
And he calls it as kind of a so-so technology.
It kind of displaces workers, but it doesn't generate any big gains.
And he's saying that real
Complementarity means AI creating new tasks that humans couldn't do before.
That's his idea.
That a real technological breakthrough.
