And I believe there's fundamentally a 108, 112-year big cycle which dictates hegemonic changes and challenges.
We can see it in Europe.
It goes all the way back to the Spanish and the French, where the French challenged Spain for control of Europe.
It goes back to the Napoleonic Wars, where Britain challenged France.
It goes back to the First World War, where Germany challenged Britain for power in the world.
And now we have China's challenge to America.
And
The way it works is the peaks of what I think of as an entropy cycle.
It's the best way to describe somehow this is an entropic rhythm that imposes itself on human systems.
And the more intense it is, the more chaotic those systems experience the world themselves and between each other as their organizational systems are discombobulated.
And so essentially what I learned was way before the peak, the friction builds into conflict.
So if you go back and you look at the First World War, the peak was 1920 and the war started in 1914.
But the friction was there with a number of incidents like the Algecans incidents in 1911.
And you could see Germany busting at this chops to go to war with France and Britain in some combination.
If you go back to the Napoleonic Wars, the peak was actually in 1808.
But the war started in 1792, on and off, on the way.
And that war didn't finish until 1815.
And we know that the First World War and the Second World War were really a match pair with a pause between the two.
And that didn't finish until 1945.
So the really interesting message is where is our next peak?
