It was my first trip away with the the elite men's team and um you know, I had no there were no expectations on me.

Uh I didn't have any armpit hair yet.

I was a I was a I was really, really I was a young eighteen and like

Um, I I struggled with that at high school.

I was like the last kid to for their vo like my voice broke last, even after the really small kids, you know?

Yeah.

And like that I thought I had some kind of weird Peter Pan syndrome where I'd never grow up.

And um and then I got to the COM games and and I was dealing to to every every fully grown man that was put in front of me.

I was like, Oh, okay, no, I'm no, I'm I am good.

I am good.

And I uh my my parents had separated the the year prior, um, after a, you know, a twenty two year marriage and uh they both came together uh to to support me at the con uh at

in Glasgow uh for those games which was special.

I felt like I was I was I had purpose, you know.

Yeah.

Um so yeah, I think I think that was for me personally that felt pretty big.

And um like I said, to w to win a uh to win an Olympic bronze you have to lose.

And I didn't lose at the Calm games, you know.

Man, that's cool.

Well the the first one was confusing because the the crowd all booed when I got my hand raised.
