Like, what do we want our future to look like?
And so often we just have people who know what they don't want.
You're against this, you're against that.
Okay, sure, we can see why.
But what is your vision for the future?
And how do we actually sell that?
to people sell a compelling vision and you know it's hard with the 24 hour news cycle with people's attention spans on social media just the way our world is set up for distraction and people sort of just numbing their pain online it's hard but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be trying to do it yeah yeah
Sure.
Yeah, I went to COP.
I'd never been to something like that.
I actually went to try... I was trying to raise money for a conservation project I was involved in in Zimbabwe with my brother, but ended up chatting to a whole bunch of Australians and then meeting these delegates from all over the world, and particularly the Europeans and some of the Nordic countries,
We're just saying like, what on earth are you guys doing?
Like you have phenomenal renewable resources.
That's the direction everyone's heading in.
You could be setting yourselves up to be kind of the renewable superpower and actually, you know, doing things like green steel, actually having all these exports where rather than just shipping iron ore, you're selling something that's far more valuable.
And, you know, at the time we clearly didn't have that.
That leadership from the Morrison government.
I think to the Albanese government's credit, there's a real move in that direction.
As an independent, I'd say we're probably not going fast enough.
Like, I do think this is a race.
