No one asked about that piece, but sometimes before the questions come, I've just run in my mouth.
And I was talking about the relationship between blue jays and squirrels.
Whenever you see a squirrel, you're likely to see a blue jay.
Oh.
And blue jays get up in the tree and they watch squirrels bury their food and then they go steal it.
And blue jays eat baby squirrels.
Oh.
And squirrels eat blue jay eggs and baby blue jays.
And so I found myself saying on stage that I love that given how now we'll cancel somebody over an Instagram post, it's nice to know that amongst certain animals, eating each other's babies is not a deal breaker.
You know, like we'll still hang out with each other.
I wouldn't have thought that at my desk, but I said it on stage and people laughed really hard and then I put it in the piece.
So that happens.
And another thing that happens is that I read something out loud and then people come up and they said, Oh, I had a similar experience or oh, this thing happened to me.
And so I can stitch it.
I don't then say it happened to me.
You know, I'll give them credit, but that can help it.
Grow as well.
I don't have anything really to complain about.
Nobody is telling me that I can't write.
Nobody's telling me I can't put a book out.
