It's a there's kind of like a disease once you get in and you want power and you want control over people.
And, you know, it doesn't seem to matter which party is on that push for power.
Once they get it, they like to have control over people.
And there's a really dangerous development happening at the moment where
You know, governments want control over you.
Um, and they want to know where you go, who you talk to.
Maybe they want to, you know, the crack down on communal violence or something, or whatever their their their latest catchword is to follow you every moment of your life and find out who you're talking to.
And and it turns out that actually there's a bunch of really big cashed-up corporate interests who have exactly the same interests in following us and trackiness.
And they want to do it because they want to actually squeeze profit out of every moment in our lives.
Finally, have this fine-grained understanding of every movement and every thought we have so that they can offer the uh uh the ideal product to you or put you on an addictive stream on one of their platforms.
And so this is a very dangerous moment where the the interests of government in having a surveillance state and tracking and controlling you are actually being.
matched by the interests of, you know, global corporates who want to track and control you, one for profit, one for control.
And they're doing it in this pincer movement.
So I think that partly explains why.
Big donors, big money, control.
And this is why people are really frightened about this and they're right to be.
Well, they they should get out and talk to the community.
Get out of the bubble that is Canberra and Parliament and get out and talk to people.
I mean, I I go to so many public meetings about data centers.
And, you know, I went to one in the Southern Highlands about I don't know about six weeks ago.
