They seem to be very happy and they're successful.
And I realized that, gosh.
You know, we're we're born up to speed with the time that we're born into.
And so our society has become progressively more sophisticated in many ways.
And in that way, the younger generation than me, I'm a gener Gen Xer, they are more sophisticated.
Just naturally.
But the thing that I do notice about the younger generation is it seems like they really doubled down on this victim thing.
That they're more they they really feel uh victimized by a lot of things and all of these labels.
And I understand people wanting to be free and express themselves and live their lives the way they want to live it.
I'm an openly gay man, so I do get that completely.
But
A lot of times it seems like we have all of these labels and we have all of these focuses and all we're doing with them is placing that label on ourselves and then making ourselves a victim.
whatever it is, any topic, and saying, gosh, you know, you you society is victimizing me in this way, X, Y, Z.
And then it inevitably turns into I can't be happy, I can't experience joy, I can't be successful because I'm being, you know, discriminated against because I'm this.
And some of that may be true.
But when that's where your focus is, that's going to be your reality.
So as long as you're feeling like you can't because of XYZ, you're going to create that as your reality.
And I remember being a child thinking that way because we were the poorer people in our family.
My parents got divorced when I was six.
My mother moved us back to our hometown.
