I will say that.
And I always remind myself, you know, w what you were saying earlier about romanticising it, you know, in the UK we've had a bout of hot weather, and that's triggered a lot of people because you're imagining beer gardens and barbecues and stuff.
But I always say, be really real about the language you use, right?
Because quite often we could say, Oh, I just fancy a beer with me.
beef burger or whatever.
Oh cool.
Well it's not a beer.
Is it?
It's never gonna be a beer if we have a problem with drinking.
It's gonna be ten.
And you're gonna wake up in the morning regretting it, looking at your phone.
Oh my god, have I sent that text message?
Oh you know, sweaty.
Play the tape forward.
Yeah, but uh do you know, if you wanna be more subtle about it, um
I always say to people, try not to compare to anyone else, right?
Because quite often you could look at me and go, Well, I never drank a litre of vodka a day, but you don't have to because if it's compromising your life, right, it's not good for you.
Um and you know, we talk about grey air drinkers now, where you're not drinking every day or you can
um, go all week without thinking about a drink, but Friday comes and you're down in two bottles of wine, Saturday two bottles of wine, wine with lunch Sunday.
