So now there's a lot of different ways to sue for invasion of privacy that we did not have even 10 years ago.
didn't work for you but that doesn't protect you from them suing you it's really between you and the government in terms of like criminal behavior but that doesn't mean you get to say whatever you want without consequences 100 correct like if you think about what's a tort you know we talk about torts in law school right a tort's like a personal an injury i've injured you that's what so you can have a breach of contract claim right we have a contract we breach it right

I can defame you.
I can say, David Cooper, he loves, you know, molesting young children.

That's defamatory, right?

That's not true.
You can't say that about me.

So in this case, you have the former NFL player, Matt Khalil, suing his ex-wife, Haley Khalil.
And the basis of it is essentially, they talk about intrusive behavior, but it's essentially an invasion of privacy claim.

You know, they famously say you can't yell fire in a pact.
a movie theater, for example, and cause a stampede.
There are all sorts of limits on free speech.
So, you know, we love free speech.
I personally, because I'm in the arts and I'm an entertainment lawyer, I'm a big advocate for free speech.
