And I'm not saying that apprentices should get paid like builder's rates or anything like that.
What I am saying is though, as we track through time,
Income needs to come up because a house used to cost you four or six times, three or four times your annual wage.
Now it's like 12 or 13 times your wage.
It's almost unattainable.
But what hasn't tracked along with that statistic is income.
Nurses, teachers, all the people that are around our kids, especially trade men.
Tradies that are up there with me is like,
like similar to farmers not not in that same regard but if we don't have tradies out there who's going to come and fix your taps who's going to because because men these days don't know how to do you know they're calling people to try and fix stuff up and then you're paying exorbitant rates because they're so they're so ramped up as it is they got it maybe gets here you know so there's a big there's a lot of things that we could be fixing on the on the ground level but and and future proofing going forward yeah but the government just doesn't seem to know or be able to
Who do they talk to when they're doing these runs around to get votes and stuff?
Are they actually talking to people or are they just talking to – who do they talk to?
Because they're not talking to me and you and they're not talking to – they're probably talking to you now, but they're not talking to the people on the ground.
Like I can go out country New South Wales or even southeast Queensland and talk to farmers directly.
I speak to a bloke up in Gundawindi at the moment, mate, and his family's been on the farm for a long time.
And he tells me about what's going on there.
And it's not getting filtered through a fucking –
seven sunrise and the morning shows.
I'm hearing it from the guy.
I'm not hearing it from whatever they want to spin it up in the media and then just give money to Fiji.
I'm hearing it from people that keep our food on our dinner plates.
