That's where they lived.

And some of them continue to live.

There's a huge travelling community down there.

And I couldn't help think about othering and otherness and how the travelling community have always...

Absolutely.

So the whole play is about that insiders, outsiders.

But it's about how humanity, love, music, tenderness, eye to eye kind of conversations and people just overcome all that and just connect.

That was the end.

You know, I mean, I'm a playwright for 30 years.

I always write into the into the fringes of society, the dark corners.

I mean, somebody mentioned Colin Murphy and Fish Amble in the earlier conversation and the work that they do in Larkin Community College.

And I think that's what's so unique about theatre.

Theatre can hold multiple perspectives at any one time.

Theatre can kind of cut through the politics into the human story.

And I've always felt, you know, a compulsion to write about the things that people talk about or can't talk about.

So I've written plays about terrorism.

I've written plays about infanticide.

You know, I've written plays about sexual assault, but always with a sense of joy and humour and celebration of humanity.

Oh, absolutely.

I mean, as you said, we're not journalists and thankfully we're not historians.
