And so in the beginning the decisions were really more about what society is, you know, telling me.

And then when I found the startup world,

I really was like, this is what I was born to do.

And then my decisions at that time were

were how can I make enough money?

Because I had some experience coming out here to Southeast Asia with my parents on business.

How can I make enough of my own money so I could start my own startup in the Philippines on my own terms, right?

And at the same time help our country.

So it's not easy because

just in life, especially the Bay Area is one of the most expensive places in the world to live.

And you can easily get trapped in the whatever they call it, the American rat race.

Yeah.

And sign up for big houses, fancy cars, you know, expensive dinners and all that.

I just started making different decisions so that one day I could unplug from

the hamster wheel.

Right.

Because I knew that starting a startup was gonna be the hardest thing I ever did in my life.
