Yeah, it was kind of a a really redemptive moment for her, wasn't it?
Because of course at the beginning of the tour she spoke of her GC ambitions and they really went out the window in the time trial stage, and she had a bad day on stage five as well, and it would have been very easy to write her off, uh, because stage five seemed on paper to be her perfect stage.
But yeah, what an impressive performance.
As you say, she had a mechanical, she had to chase back.
back on uh but it wasn't just that to actually then bridge across put in a huge amount of effort to get across that leading group and it wasn't that just that she just then sat back you know she was instrumental in holding that group together
Marcus back in that final kilometre and still having the strength to power clear and win the sprint.
She went for a long way out as well.
It was a really like classic Kim Lacourte display, and it was really nice to see that.
And I know lots of riders, I mean everyone we've spoken to, management riders alike, uh, are kind of quite happy to see it.
She's obviously very popular in the Peloton, isn't she?
