pieces, a lot of new youth, which I think will be good and invigorating

over time, but I think, you know, out of the gates it might be a little slow.

I think the Oilers are notoriously a slow starting team anyways.

At least they were, I think, for my four years, last four years.

So um if we can get out of the gates fast and have a good start, then the sky's the limit.

But um I think

It's it's obvious that they're gonna be a super competitive team and battling for the division hopefully and then come playoff time you just never know what can happen in the playoffs, but they're definitely a competitive team and can compete for a cup.

Well, I'm currently a uh an assistant coach for my son Zayn's team, so I guess that's into hockey.

But probably not what you mean by that.

Yeah, I mean I definitely would like to do something like that and I

you know, I wouldn't I wouldn't mind being involved in the Oilers currently because of the the reach and the touch that I have in that locker room right now.

Um but I also, like you said, I want to be a dad.

There's so many things that I've missed out on in the last however many years being a hockey player and being gone.

Um, like I said, my kids started school today and I was able to be up making breakfast and doing drop off and and picking kids

up at the bus stop and all that and just just be in there and I've never been able to do that before.

So um yeah my son had his first tournament in Seattle last weekend.

I was on the bench for every game and there for every

Every laugh, every smile, every tear.

So it's nice to be just be there.

So, um, I think it's a real opportunity for me to just be present in all that right now.
