And the second half or the first half of the 21st century has been about escaping the physical world by moving into our rooms.
And that's bad.
We become comfortable taking risks on our phones and uncomfortable taking risks in the real world.
And we should be more comfortable taking the moderate social risk of going out and meeting people and making friends.
And that's my on-ramp to number two, I suppose.
So one is leave your room.
Two is make friends.
Practice making friends.
Belong to large social groups that include women so that you get to know women as people and not just as potential mates.
Because I think if you shut yourself off from social groups that include women and only think of women as these strange creatures that you see at bars, but you never speak to them unless you are trying to get their number,
then you won't understand how to be friends with them, and they won't want to spend time with you.
Because having a partner, having a lover, is also about having a friend.
And so, number one, get out of your room, and number two, make friends.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Or build social groups that include both men and women again so that you feel comfortable talking to women rather than feeling like it's this incredibly aberrant behavior where like you've left your room and like given yourself a self-talk in the mirror that's like, today I'm going to talk to a woman.
Well, that's putting this experience on like such an insane pedestal.
Yeah.
