I wanted to thank you for having me.
I've been a big fan of your work for a long time.
And actually, what's happening right now is quite interesting because the relationship between gold and the dollar is not just an economic issue.
It's a relationship issue.
And who better to discuss the breaking up of relationships other than you?
And that's what makes it interesting.
Well, that's what makes it interesting because in any relationship, when you break up, you have damages, you have loss of trust, you have all these issues that come up.
And the world right now is facing a massive breakdown in trust with the dollar.
And that's why you're seeing the reaction of gold.
Well, debt is a function of the dollar.
What you're seeing happening is that countries like Japan, China, even the Dutch are dumping US treasuries.
So they're not screaming, they're not yelling, they're acting very quietly, selling off treasuries.
Because they no longer believe the United States will be responsible about debt, that they'll take that under control.
And so they're literally packing up their debt.
Well, what happens is people are the last to pay attention.
Central banks have been buying more gold for the last four years than they have in the history.
And there's a reason for that.
And you see financial institutions now buying gold.
But the consumer is told the same thing all the time.
It's told by the economists and by the Federal Reserve that inflation is under control, that growth, we're having growth.
