But I'm evening that out with like slow, quiet mornings or in the evenings or maybe just during my lunch.
I check in and I notice like, oh, I just need some instrumental music or I need nothing right now.
I just need everything to kind of slow it down, quiet it down.
But creating moments in your day where you're not scrolling, you're not checking emails, you're not receiving input.
It helps build out, and this is a funny way of putting it, but like the average speed that we're moving throughout the day, it just lets your brain still have moments of quiet so that your brain feels comfortable with that.
So that your brain feels comfortable with that.
We're wiring the brain to feel safe and comfortable with quiet, with stillness.
And this is so important too, if you, and I know that you do because you're here listening to this podcast, if you are wanting to feel connected to yourself,
connected to God, you want to hear God, we have to be cultivating a mind that can be quiet.
We have to be cultivating a mind that is an observer, right?
That we are just observing the mind.
We are not at the whim or at the will of the mind.
We're not just on this roller coaster ride.
We have to be able to have discipline and focus to be able to sit in quiet and hear God, hear ourselves, hear that inner knowing.
We have to.
