And so when you went to high school, those were your friends.
And for three years, three years in in playing high school basketball, I was a hated person at Mountain View.
And and I hated Mountain View at the time.
You know, we we'd have to go play all these Salt Lake schools.
Um, so we'd take the bus ride from Orm High down Center Street to get on the freeway to go play the Salt Lake Schools.
And you know, I tell the story and you know, looking back, it's probably bad, but you know, we we would hit the rec center on State Street and you know, we'd we'd somebody would say, Hey, you know, birds up.
And, you know, as punk kids, we would all hold up our middle fingers.
the starter Mountain View to the you know, right after about three, four seconds and that's how much, you know, we didn't like it.
And they didn't they didn't love me.
And so, you know, they would they would make chance at me of like, hey, DJ's in, we're gonna win and and uh so it w it was unique and I loved that aspect of it.
And so fast forward, you know, twenty five years later w that you ask of, you know, the how hard that was again
growing up or going through h um you know my adulthood and my kids go there
The truth is is I loved Mountain View.
When I took that job, I was all in on Mountain View.
Um, unfortunately, some of the players that that were great, um, Trans were right before I got the job, who were you know still awesome kids.
And so we had to really rebuild the program.
And I'm telling you, the the heart of Mountain View and some of these kids that that that gave everything was awesome.
The coaching staff that we brought on, and so you know, two years later, I'm sitting in that same decision as I did, you know.
28 years ago, like, am I gonna leave Mountain View to go to Orm?
And my wife was like, don't do it.
