You know, that's fine too.

I think that's fair and human.

But then seeking some feedback on it, but being targeted with how you seek that feedback.

Don't just ask for feedback in general.

It's like, okay, if this is what I've been given as why I was unsuccessful, then...

And can I ask about this, this and this?

Or these are the three things.

Or can you give me two things that I can walk away from and focus on for next time?

I think is by like the best way to kind of go through it.

Give yourself some time to be able to do that.

Give some space from the decision because we'll all have that immediate opportunity

um reaction for some it'll be more visceral than others you know it'll be an immediate like frustration or it'll be immediate sadness or be immediate disappointment whatever it is so give you a chance to be able to process what that looks like um i would imagine that it would be fair to say i hope this is fair to say that people who miss out on roles probably should have a sense of disappointment because that's connected to the desire that you had to be in the role right and so um

Then, yeah, allow yourself to process that, seek that feedback in a way that you find most comfortable to be able to do.

So it might be pick up the phone and have a personal call.

It might be do it via email because you feel like you want that separation too.

And then, yeah, see what the feedback is that comes back.

And then the next step would be to seek out the person I think that you trust to be able to help action that feedback.

It doesn't necessarily have to be in the same organization.

So you apply for a state job, you're unsuccessful in a state job, doesn't necessarily mean that it's call me or have that conversation with a BV employee.

It might be go to your mentor and say, here's the feedback that I got.
