I think the best process to go through is to understand why the dissenting opinion is occurring.

So, like, I mean, I don't know if I've been on that many panels that have fully unanimous decisions, to be perfectly honest.

it's always good because the range of experiences should speak to dissenting opinions, basically, I think in some way.

But the working through like, what is the key point of difference?

And then with the panel doesn't necessarily always mean that they are the decision-making team.

They are like one step on the journey of whatever that decision-making process looks like.

So then going back to the decision-making team and having a conversation about what the panel's reflections were, where the points of dissension were, and then,

At some point, the buck stops, right?

So it could be one person.

It could be a majority vote.

It could be whatever the system is structured to be.

And there may be trade-offs that need to be made in that kind of component.

When I talk about trade-offs, the idea of this person interviewed really well for a U16 position.

We don't have a candidate for a U18 position that we're of the same level.

We've got two candidates here.

Is there an opportunity for one of them potentially to move into a different role?

And consider that and then working with the selection panel around what that might be.

So I think there's a bit of a difference for interviewees or applicants to understand that it's not always the interview panel isn't always the decision making panel around appointment.

But in that process, we would go, and certainly with the state team lens on, that is true, that often we have guest panel members who bring a layer of expertise.
