We know that the report suggests that he's probably going to move to third base right now, but he's had the overwhelming majority of reps at shortstop for Dunedin.
The Blue Jays are going to let him basically play himself off there, and this is a guy who knows the strike zone, who gets his uniform dirty.
I imagine he's checked every box, and I would strongly suspect after the Futures game he's on his way to Vancouver.
So fans in the lower mainland, fans of the seas, get ready.
He's coming.
He had a lot of fun.
He liked Max's velocity, said he didn't miss a ton of bats, and he said while it was fun to watch, he worried about Max's ability to get big league hitters out with what he showed.
It was a rehab start, and we know that those tend to be a little bit different, but the news was not incredibly encouraging when you try to project future down the road, but we'll see what he does with his start in Buffalo this week.
There's just so many things to talk about with Arjun.
First off, I think he is probably a guy the Blue Jays might have been very willing to give up had they been in a different circumstance heading into the trade deadline.
But I suspect he's going to remain a Blue Jay for the time being.
He got sent back, as some fans know, he got sent back to Vancouver to start the season.
And in player development director Joe Scolfani's words, he was not one of Arjun's favorite people come late March when he got the news he's going back to Vancouver.
But they set new goals for him.
They had some things that they wanted to see from him in terms of his day-to-day work, his consistency, his defense, and he certainly accomplished that.
And not only that, but he continued to hit when he got to AA.
I think the biggest difference from Arjun this year to last year was just the patience.
He was patient.
He's getting aggressive early in counts, but he's not afraid also to hit with two strikes.
And he's much more willing this year, and this is from my conversation with Blue Jays minor league hitting coordinator Craig Perry, he's much more willing to go with what the pitcher gives him this year rather than looking for his pitch and sometimes being a little bit too passive.
