He's one of these guys who spent last offseason in Dunedin

and trained at the minor league complex every day.

So he's kind of the left-handed David Schneider, if you will.

And so they made some mechanical adjustments, got him to put a little bit more weight on his front foot.

But the other part that I found really interesting and Craig didn't want to go too much into depth in it, but he basically said that so many people had said so many things to Jay over the years.

And we know he came over from the twins a couple of years ago and he looked very much like an organizational guy.

But I think there was, in the offseason, there was some consistency of the message about what his approach should be, what his mechanics should be.

And he has come out, came out of the gate swinging, was hitting at New Hampshire, hitting at Buffalo.

I would take a chance on him as a big leaguer.

It would necessitate a roster move, and maybe that big swing of his would get exploited at the big league level, but you can't ignore this guy.

It seems like every time that you look at the minor league highlights, he's gone deep again, so...

That's an exciting story, really interesting to see where he goes, keeping in mind, of course, though, that Sean Keyes, with, what, 24-some-odd big league at-bats, has had his issues.

So that speaks to something that you and I have spoken to before, and that's the gap between AAA and the big leagues, which is as big as it's possibly ever been.

But Jay Harry, why not bring him up?

Why not have him play a variety of positions?

I think he can provide a little bit better defense than a Hendrick Pignango.

Just interesting to see.

I think we should be very excited.

The Blue Jays are definitely going to take their time with them.

I think it's important to remember he's only been pitching professionally for a little bit over a year, and he won't be 20 until later this month.
