And this man is gonna die for his crime.

And the man who is going to die would not refuse it.

That's one of the marks of a true conversion.

He he wouldn't reject that penalty because

if I've done anything deserving of death, I do not refuse to die.

So you can have mercy and Christian forgiveness and Christian uh tenderness and you know, all the

all of those those attributes while at the same time recognizing that justice must be done.

Uh so uh Jesus the fact that Jesus came and died and rose again doesn't keep us from dying.

All of us die.

Not only does the condemned criminal die, but so will the governor die.

So you and I were are going to die.

We're all going to die.

What Christ's death and resurrection does is promises us new life, resurrection, life.

We will we will rise again from the dead.

and be with him eternally.

for the condemned criminal, for the thief on the cross, for this man in the hypothetical illustration I'm using, and for you and for me.

So Jesus died so that so that we might have a gospel, so that we might have good news to share with someone

Who's going to die?

Now, if he dies in the electric chair or if he dies in a hospital um fifty years from now.

He still needs he still needs Jesus, he still needs Christ, he needs forgiveness.
