They want cameras at all the intersections.
They want everything.
They aspire to deity.
And the reason they aspire to deity is because when a void has been created above them by their atheism, they see in that void a job opening.
They see an opportunity to become God themselves.
And so one of the, I would say the foundational premise of Christian political theory is that government, human government must be limited.
Why?
Because we're not God.
Yeah, I want to control people by preventing them from exercising unlimited control over other people.
So biblical law is—
operates within the framework of limited government.
And it has to be a government that confesses itself to be limited in principle.
And this is what James Madison said in Federalist, I think it was 53, in the 50s, in the Federalist papers.
James Madison said, you have to have a government that's strong enough to control the people, but you must also oblige it to control itself.
And that's what the American Constitution did.
It put all kinds of roadblocks and speed bumps and firewalls in place to hamstring the government, to keep the government from having a frictionless experience where they could just grab all the power that they wanted.
So, yeah, I do want to control people.
Go ahead.
That is correct.
And so consequently, yes, I want government to control certain things.
