I want government to prevent murders.

I want government to prevent rapes and forgeries and thefts and bank robberies.

I want government to restrict certain things.

But the things that I want government to restrict are all things that interfere with other people's right to pursue happiness.

The aspiring communist ideal is they want, in principle, to control everything, including the temperature of the water in your shower.

Okay, there are a number of contributors.

One of them is the Darwinian backdrop.

So in the mid-19th century, Darwin provided materialist atheists with a plausible story, a mechanism, natural selection, that allowed for them to account for our presence here.

So there's a Darwinian backdrop to the whole thing.

The reason it's attractive to people is if there is no God, then I can sleep with whoever I want.

If there is no God, I don't have an authority in my life that is telling me to not do things that I very much want to do.

And so personal autonomy, and I don't mean the kind of Christian freedom or liberty under law, autonomy is where you have the right to do whatever you want, whatever comes into your head.

And the irony is that that kind of personal autonomy, once it's given to all the individuals, runs them straight into slavery to the state.

Yes, and I would say it's correlated to basically atheism, evolution.

It is correlated to the desire for autonomy.

It is correlated to lust, and it is correlated to envy.

Okay.

virtually all the isms that we're dealing with, feminism, socialism, communism, egalitarianism, all those isms, as the fellow said, beware of isms except for prisms, right?

Those isms are driven by envy.
