So what we're doing is it was funny.
I, I was initially a big skeptic when I had a colleague of mine call me and, you know, say that they thought they had cracked the code and they wanted me to come work with them.
And, you know, in reality, once you understand the anatomy of the penis, it all makes perfect sense because, you know, your erections, Dave, essentially just two inflatable tubes, corpora cavernosa start deep in the pelvis, got the shaft of the penis.
And then the corpora cavernosa have a very dense layer of fascia right on top of them called Buck's fascia.
And then on top of that is another layer of fascia called Dartos.
And what's interesting is this is one of the unique places in the human body where you have two layers of fascia right on top of each other, but they're not directly interconnected directly.
The dartos fascia slides up and down the penis, which is why your penile skin is so slidey and slippery and it can stretch, it can accommodate you being flaccid, you having an erection, engaging in penetration.
It's all about that interface between dartos and Bucks fascia.
And so when we're doing a girth enhancement treatment, what we do is we use lidocaine.
So just traditional numbing agent, 1% lidocaine, and we very precisely inject that lidocaine
into that layer between dartos and bucks and it's called hydra dissection so instead of dissecting with scissors you're just using your your fluid to go ahead and expand that space and then once you expand that space it becomes a much larger target where we can gradually start to lay down that hyaluronic acid through a couple of access points through the shaft
And what we do is work in a systematic fashion, start laying it down.
I liken it to laying down a layer of bricks like you're building a wall.
And then after that, you examine it, make sure everything looks appropriate.
And something that's really important, you know, that we found is actually keeping the patient on penile stretch afterwards.
Because as I tell patients, there is a big difference between bedroom penis and pool penis, okay?
And when you go through that, and listen, I live in the middle of Indiana.
It gets cold in the winter.
So things change.
And so what you have to do is you have to keep that penis on stretch during the healing period.
