And then I'm like, okay, this is important to them in their lives.
How's it going?
Are there things we can help him work on?
Because this is what he's trying to work toward, versus, oh yeah, I want to make sure all his friendships are going well because that's what I struggled with.

Around that is helpful because yes, the things people tend to worry about for their child, I think, are generally adjustment, living kind of comfortable lives, and that could be physically, that can be emotionally, that can be academically.
So there's a big range.
But to kind of summarize, I think that parents tend to overfocus.
on what happened for them.
And and I think also I'll say in a in a hard way, same goes for um trauma and abuse.
So if we've had certain trauma areas or have lived through abuse, understandably we're on hyper alert to help that not happen to our child.
And so yes, we want to be vigilant, but with trauma, we go to hyper
Vigilance and hypervigilance, if there are no threats, can unintentionally cause anxiety in our children as well.
Yeah, no, totally.
Well, you know, first I would say to to you as well to all all the parents, like give ourselves grace because it's so understandable.
We're trying to be ourselves, we're trying to figure it out, and then we have our anxiety.
