So it worked for me, but I didn't realize that by the end of the day, I was so depleted.
Like giving, I mean, because you have to talk in orthodontics when you're working in a big office, it's 80, 90, 100 patients a day, plus their parents, plus the staff.
So you're having no less than 300 to 500 interactions per day if you do the math, right?
Because you have to say, Hi, how are you doing?
Make small talk, you know.
That doesn't really work for an autistic brain.
Now let's think about that.
It works for an ADHD brain, but what if the brain is slowly migrating on the spectrum because it's not being supported by hormones and now is being supported by just adrenaline and cortisol?
Figure that.
What's gonna happen once you're moving towards forty, right?
Um, you're not becoming a very nice person by the end of the day.
Like you're losing it.
And you're losing it.
And when you by the time you come home, it's not that you can even just grin and bear it and maybe have a glass of wine, like you are a functional mess by the time you get home.
And it's noticeable to other people that there is such a change in personality.
And
I was like, what what's going on?
You know, this isn't right.
And and I wasn't the parent I wanted to be.
