I think it's cuing players as to what is helpful to do in this situation.

So even just reminding them, you know, once you've taken that penalty, it's successful, celebrate, pass on those good emotions to the players who are coming behind you.

And that can be really effective.

And it's going to depend on the player.

It's going to depend on their approach.

So we know that there's there's usually sort of three approaches for attention that players will take.

They will either kind of focus in on their spot and they're just ignoring the keeper completely.

He or she is just irrelevant.

I'm going there and that's where my attention is going.

What happens is when players start to get a bit anxious or a bit nervous, we're more likely to focus on the threat, which is the keeper.

And then we start to try and read his or her behavior like, what do I think they're doing?

And then we kind of try and pick our spot from there.
