Timeout where there's a naughty chair, that I would not recommend.
I would not recommend a naughty chair.
And first of all, your child's not going to sit in the naughty chair and stare at the corner.
But because they're going to move around, they're not going to sit there.
But
The point is it's a break.
And actually timeout can be virtual too.
It's not a location necessarily.
It's we're taking a break from whatever it is that was the situation that was problematic.
So, yeah, I don't – and timeout may be – and here's another example of a timeout is timeout is we're going to sit on my lap here for a minute and we're just going to take a pause.
And we're not going to have a conversation because, again, conversation is attention.
So if they're looking for attention and, you know, that was why they did whatever they did, you don't want to give them attention, but you can hold them physically on your lap.
And that's a timeout too because it's a break and you're going to reset.

So the other way timeout works is for parents because a lot of.
our emotions get wrapped up in the way that we manage the moment.
And I would take emotion out of the equation to be able to manage a situation in a calm way.
So let the parent take a timeout.
